Your Wedding Day Weight Loss

So what is your plan for your wedding day weight loss?

Hopefully, your plan for your wedding day weight loss isn’t to starve  yourself to death, to become anorexic, or to spend eight hours on a treadmill every day!

On the contrary, your wedding day weight loss plan needs to be something realistic, something practical, something achievable, something sustainable, and something enjoyable.

The last thing you want to do is kill yourself, get sick, or have a nervous breakdown trying frantically and desperately to shed as many pounds of fat as you can before the big day.

So then just exactly what would constitute a viable approach to losing weight for the wedding?

Well, let’s start by counting two things:

How many pounds do you wish to lose?

How many weeks do you have until your wedding?                                                         

Now divide the number of weeks until the wedding by the

number of pounds you wish to lose.

The resulting value is the average number of pounds you need to lose each and every week, until your wedding day. Weight loss becomes more realistic when you have incremental goals you can strive to achieve, rather than trying to achieve one overwhelming goal. It is easier to focus on losing three to four pounds per week than it is to try to focus on losing forty pounds in two months.

Next, you need to follow a structured plan into your wedding weight loss program, that incorporates both diet and exercise. This plan needs to be realistic and easy to follow. It cannot involve starvation, deprivation, or going to extremes, otherwise you are going to inevitably cheat on the diet and end up gaining some, if not all, or even worse, more, weight back.

It’s your wedding day! Weight loss should be part of the excitement and enjoyment of the new life ahead of you. It shouldn’t be a cause of stress, anxiety, tension, and worry.

1. Eat breakfast everyday. It is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast will get your metabolism burning fat and will help ensure an easy and quick weight loss. Drinking an 8 ounce glass of grapefruit juice also helps to speed up your metabolism. Studies show that dieters who skip breakfast don’t lose weight as rapidly as those who eat a well balanced, low fat breakfast.

2. Eat high fiber. A high fiber diet creates that full feeling, which in turn diminishes the craving for more food.

3. Take a muli- vitamin/ mineral each day. While losing weight, your nutrient intake maybe less than what your body requires and we want to ensure a healthy weight loss.

4. Stay away fattening snacks, especially fried foods. Replace potato chips and fried chicken with skinless grilled chicken, salad, vegetables and fruits. Stay away from soda and beer.

5. Don’t rely on your scale! Rely on how you look in the mirror and how you feel. During the course of your diet, fat, muscle and water levels in your body are reduced. These three components of your body weight may be altered unevenly during the period of your dieting because of increased activity and reduced calorie intake.

6. Get exercise. Walk or exercise as much as possible, even if it is only 20 minutes, 3 times a week. Aerobic exercise reduces your appetite, burns calories and fat and it also reduces stress. Weight training is also important for easy and quick weight loss.

7. Chew your food slowly. Your brain usually has a bit of a lag time before it realizes that you are getting full. You are also letting your body get all the nutrients it needs before entering the digestive system.

8. Drink lots of water. Water will help flush out your system, but it also helps to move important nutrients through your body to where they are needed.

9. When you are done eating, get up and move away from the table. How many times have you kept eating because there is food right in front of you?

If you incorporate all these easy and quick weight loss tips, you will be on your way to a safe, healthy weight loss. I truly hope this article provides you with an insight into how to quickly, but safely lose weight. It is my hope that you never get involved in a weight loss program that makes you lose weight fast in such a way that causes loss of muscle and loss of health. Programs like these will only cause you to put the weight back on faster than you took the weight off.
